The Ranch encompasses different generations of veterans, building a community through peer support, agri-therapy, animal therapy, and other forms of nontraditional approaches, such as breathing exercises, arts and Yoga/dance. Our Program is broad and is based on individual's needs. The Ranch will offer housing, when it becomes available, by means of donation, and/or grant.
Many military veterans, who served during wartime, have incurred PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder) .This debilitating disease is not rare among comat veterans, symptoms can include alcohol/drug abuse, anger/irritability, chronic pain, guilt, flash-backs, nightmares and reckless behavior.
The Ranch supports the health and wellness of veterans. Ranch related activities, fosters a sense of meaning, self-worth, purpose and camaraderie , that for many veterans, miss after leaving the military. A recognized component of the healing journey, is Service to others. Veterans walk a unique life path and should not have to walk this path alone!Our mission is to teach living skills, for Veterans to handle civilian life and work skills, by means of training on ranch using agriculture, plants, animals, animal rescue, crafts, gardening, wood working and other programs and/or partnering with a company with on-the-job training. Veterans help build, developing a sanctuary for themselves and their peers.
